Our An Awakening Watercolor features a winter scene at dawn, with a deer and cardinal greeting the morning sun.

Throughout cultures and history, deer have been perceived as symbols of guidance, spiritual connection, and transformation.  In Native American Cultures, deer are associated with balance, intuition of kindness.  Many tribes believe that deer, while maintaining resilience and strength, teach us how to live gently on Earth. This original watercolor of a Winter scene also features a Northern Cardinal.  The cardinal has a number of meaningful symbols.  It is seen as a symbol of hope and joy, new beginnings, particularly during challenging times like during the bitter cold of winter.
