Each day during this blooming season, we venture outdoors to discover what changes have happened over night. After months of cold weather and a challenging winter, it’s always inspirational to see what gifts Spring unfolds. Now that the sun is up so early, we find ourselves rising earlier as well. It’s become a ritual to sit on our deck and be serenaded by the Dawn Chorus; a Spring phenomenon where the early morning is filled with bird song. Our deck has well-established feeding stations, and as the days grow warmer we’re delighted to see returning birds from their long migrations; and marvel at the distances these small creatures travel for survival. In the past two weeks, we’ve welcomed back to our neighborhood: bobolinks, hummingbirds, indigo buntings, orioles, catbirds, and warblers.
What a lonely place it would be to have a world without a wildflower!

On our daily walks, we are once again enchanted by the sight of blooming wildflowers. Each of these delicate flowers bloom for only a short period of time, so we always feel as if we are welcoming back old friends for a sweet and short visit.
As we spend more time outdoors, witnessing all of the blossoming color and new growth, we find our own creative and positive energies being recharged and renewed. We’re savoring the beauty of this season and have collected some quotes that inspire us as well. We hope you are finding time to rediscover all of the magic that Spring can bring us.
